2010 - The Ultimate Win!! by Allyson Byrd, Transformational Life Coach

Have you ever had a "WOW Moment" where you wanted the entire world to hear what you just heard, see what you just saw and experience the identical thrill that you held in your space at that time?

That was my morning.  I attended an morning inspirational call with my dear friend Lisa Nichols.  If you aren't aware of who she is, you are sooooo late.  Google her and your life will be enriched like never before.

She said something that I have to repeat to you and to myself over and over and over and over and OVER AGAIN!!  She said, "2010 won't happen to you.  2010 is the year you create!"  Tears well in my eyes as I rest on those words. 

It doesn't matter how many times I hear it, it still shocks me to know and understand that I have the ability to write my destiny and carve out my future.  My mind wants to stop at the door of impossible and pause at the crossroads of never gonna happen and girl, you are crazy! Yet my spirit leaps with the reminder and squeals with joy like a child running to catch the ice cream truck.  The tune that my "ice cream" truck is playing houses the words, 'Take the limits off!' 'Run on and see what the end is gonna be!'... and even louder, 'DREAM, THE IMPOSSIBLE DREAM!'.

AAAAHHHH!!! My emotion is high right now and I pondered on waiting to write you from a more stable, steady, quieter point of view but I could not afford to allow this moment to pass and not share it's authenticity.  2010 is on its way.  In less than 3 full days, we will walk over the threshold of a new year.

Do you know what it will bring? Have you written the vision or decided that whatever will be will be?

If you are anything like me, 2009 wasn't a bad year but it wasn't my best year either.  In reflection, I accomplished major goals and made life-altering decisions that I am grateful for but the question is: "Would I do it the same?"

My answer, "NO!"

2010 is the year that I choose to be the blessing that I've been waiting to experience for myself.  I trust that as I bless myself with a whole and complete Allyson, the by-product for my friends, family and community is they will enjoy the journey along side of me.

2010 is the year that I work to liberate ME and know that I will in turn be contagious and create liberty for those that I am connected to.

2010 is the year where I commit to TAKE THE LIMITS OFF!! Creating the experience of increase, abundance, stretching and becoming.

Why relive 2007, 2008 or 2009? Why do it? Why not do it differently than you ever have before?

You have nothing to lose but everything to gain. 

Whatever you need is standing before you with confidence.  Why can't you see it? It awaits your bold and daring request that it show up for you.  Ask for it.  Believe it.  Receive it. 

Dare to Believe.  Dare to Dream.  Dare to Become.

I stand with you in UNLIMITED Possibility.  I'm depending on you.  I want to see you along the journey because I may need you to remind me of this moment of clarity, determination and drive.  I promise to be there for you and remind you that your best is still ahead of you.

Home for the Holidays - Create Something New!

The season of Christmas will always create a space for reflection.  It's up to us whether we choose to lean into the reflection or run scared at what may appear in our life's mirror.

Today, I had a conversation with one of my incredible mentors and she asked me a question concerning my family, what my holiday season would look like and how I feel about the choices that I've made.

From the sweetest position of defense, I answered her: "I made that choice years ago and I'm still okay with making that choice." My answer was simple, clean and made total sense to me.  She responded just as sweetly as I had with a dagger that ripped through the pain of my heart when she said, "Do you still have to continue making that choice or could it be time to make a new one?"

     If you've read my book, you know that I was raised by a single mother who did the most amazing job raising my sister and I.  However, as time progressed, like many families... we formed judgements of one another that continued to be fed with life circumstances, family arguments, hurts, misunderstandings and the list continues.

     I realized that in all my acute awareness of transformation, growth and personal development, I'd decided that one chapter in my life, let's call it Ch. 54 had determined how I would respond to my sister and my mother from this point forward.  No matter that my current reality is Ch. 234, that old chapter is still dictating how I will show up for them, how I believe they will show up for me and it continues to form the reality that I live in without space for evolution, forgiveness or love.  WOW!! I said it, out loud and to the world. 

     I decided to write it to you, my friends and followers because I believe in repentance, authenticity and change.  I can already hear your question: Will I share with my mother and my sister? Yes - the bravery will live on - Ha!!

     I invite you to engage with me in creating a new series of life, a new chapter that includes the ingredients that you wish to experience.  For me, I call forth LOVE, PATIENCE, JOY, KINDNESS, SOFTNESS OF SPEECH, CLEAR COMMUNICATION, WARM HANDS AND GENTLE TOUCHES; I CALL FORTH TRUTH, INTEGRITY, FAITH AND PERSERVERANCE, UNDERSTANDING, RELEASE OF JUDGEMENT, FEAR, INHIBITIONS, FEAR OF FAILURE AND HURTS FROM THE PAST. 

I have lived with band-aids over old wounds for FAAAAAAAAAARRRRR too long and I refuse to allow another series of my life to begin with festering, decaying spaces that create a vortex where love and new beginnings gets sucked up with no expectation to truly live.

The real meaning of Christmas is that with Christ's birth, we experienced new beginning, renewal of hope and the promise from a God that truly loved us & with unending love says keep moving forward, your best is yet to come.

• What have you decided would exist from this point forward and yet today, you CHOOSE to release and start anew?
• In the true spirit of Christmas, what is your affirmation for this holiday season?
• Breathe.  Allow the holy spirit to flow over your wounded places and experience the wonder of healing. 
• Soak in your new space of greatness, truth and joy.

10 Days and Counting... 2010 Is On The Way!!

If you were truly FREE... What would Freedom look like to you?

As I walk toward the new year, I am amazed at what 2009 looks like in replay mode.  Honestly, I would not have expected 1/2 of what I experienced to show up and that includes good, bad and some indifferent.

It takes me back to a course that I took last year with the Association for Christian Character Development http://www.accd.org/ called Discovery.  During this course, they bring up the conversation of intentions.  The idea is that what you intend in life creates the results that you experience. 

When I reflect over this year, I realize that I intended to write a book, I intended to build my brand and visibility within the business world, I intended to launch a social networking campaign that would expand my national community... however, I don't know that I ever intended to experience Joy, Love, Freedom, Hope, Peace. 

I know that when my world became chaotic, I would call it forth and there it would appear.  Seems reactive for a Life Coach that teaches being PROACTIVE is the best way to hold on dearly to sanity and balance.  Ha! I have always been and will always be transparent with you.

So, here it is a few days away from 2010 and I have decided that my intent is to experience Freedom.  My intent is to experience Love, Peace, Joy, Harmony and Balance.  As I intend, I will experience and I will become.  The greatest part of this new reality is that your being is contagious and what wonderful expressions to share as I move forward throughout life.

Tis the Season 2B...?

Recently I attended an inspirational seminar where the speaker asked the question, “What do you notice in the room we sit in today?” Answers included paintings, chairs, tables, food, people, etc. The interesting thing is that no one mentioned the wall color.

I could understand if we’d have been in a beige, egg-shell kind of environment; however, the room was sprightly painted in hues of reds and yellows and seriously commanded attention. Yet, no one even thought to mention the wall color.

As I consider what the Christmas season means to me, my heart begins to reflect over the year. I think about the small hurdles and the oh sooooo LARGE leaps I chose to make. I ponder on misses… where I knew I’d missed it and that life indeed would be over because of it.

Each thing that comes before me is large and yet, once again, I miss the painting on the walls. This year has provided a remarkable opportunity for new friendships that feel like old family members, the healing of hurts and wounds where I thought I’d never grow.

I’ve experienced love like I never have before and even decided that yes – it’s actually OK to give love again because it’s a cyclical effect and will soon come back my way.

This year, as you consider what this season represents to you, I invite you into conversation with the “painting on the wall”.

* What relationships have you forged or even decided to let go, knowing that a release would create space for something bigger, better and purposeful for your life?

* What accomplishments can you celebrate that provided healing for your soul and spiritual being?

* How has life evolved for you in 2010?

The “painting on the wall” is the place of value that we often miss as we look for the impressive, the easily seen and the wonderful conversation pieces.

The place of value that I celebrate today nourishes my soul and makes me rich in love, community and faith.
